• Desirable CQI/IRCA qualification.

Responsibilities

• Lead and promote a Right First Time quality culture across the project.
• Own the Project Quality Plan, procedures and QA arrangements.
• Provide senior quality guidance to multiple teams (Project, Engineering, Construction, Commissioning).
• Develop, review and monitor ITPs, inspection regimes and quality docs.
• Plan and undertake audits, inspections and compliance reviews.
• Monitor performance against ISO 9001, contractual, regulatory and client requirements.
• Lead NCRs, defects, corrective actions and quality improvements.
• Identify quality risks and establish controls throughout delivery.
• Oversee quality performance across subcontractors and supply chain.
• Support installation, testing and commissioning with quality assurance.
• Prepare and present quality reports, KPIs, and management updates.
• Interface with client and stakeholders on quality matters.
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practice.

Overview:

We are currently supporting a leading infrastructure contractor with the recruitment of a Senior Quality Advisor / Quality Manager for a major energy project in North Scotland. The successful candidate will take a senior role within the project quality function, helping establish and maintain robust quality systems across delivery and working closely with Project, Engineering, Construction and Commissioning teams to ensure the project is delivered in accordance with contractual, regulatory and client requirements.

This is a strong opportunity for an experienced Quality professional with a background in gas, energy, process, industrial or major infrastructure projects, particularly those delivered within live operational or highly regulated environments. The role offers significant responsibility across quality assurance, compliance, audits, inspection, subcontractor management and continuous improvement throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and promote a strong Right First Time quality culture across the project.
• Take ownership of the implementation and ongoing management of the Project Quality Plan, procedures and quality assurance arrangements.
• Provide senior quality guidance to Project, Engineering, Construction and Commissioning teams.
• Develop, review and monitor ITPs, inspection regimes, quality documentation and project records.
• Plan and undertake audits, inspections and compliance reviews across site and project activities.
• Monitor project performance against ISO 9001, contractual, regulatory and client quality requirements.
• Lead the management and close-out of NCRs, defects, corrective actions and quality improvement initiatives.
• Identify key quality risks and establish appropriate controls throughout project delivery.
• Oversee quality performance across subcontractors, suppliers and the wider supply chain.
• Support the project through key stages of installation, testing and commissioning, ensuring quality requirements are maintained.
• Prepare and present quality reports, KPIs and performance updates to project and senior management.
• Act as a key interface with the client and other stakeholders on quality matters, including audits and assurance activities.
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practice across the project and wider business.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience within a Senior Quality Advisor, Quality Manager, Quality Engineer or similar senior quality role.
• Strong background within energy, gas, engineering, construction, process or major infrastructure projects.
• Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 quality management systems and project assurance requirements.
• Demonstrable experience with ITPs, audits, inspections, NCRs, corrective actions and quality reporting.
• Experience managing quality requirements across subcontractors and supply chain partners.
• Experience within a live operational, brownfield, regulated or high-hazard environment would be highly advantageous.
• Relevant professional qualification or membership such as CQI / IRCA is desirable.
• Strong leadership, communication and stakeholder management skills, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
