Howells Solutions Limited in Walsall is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading Social Housing contractor delivering Planned Maintenance projects. We are looking for somebody who is keen to step up into a SQS role.

You will control costs, manage subcontractor procurement, CVR processes, and maintain strong client relationships, with a view to stepping up into an SQS role. The successful candidate will have main contractor experience, a degree or technical qualification, and professional

Qualifications

• Degree or other technical qualification required.
• Experience as Quantity Surveyor with a main contractor.
• Strong commercial awareness and cost-management skills.
• Knowledge of CVR, subcontractor procurement, and contractual awareness.

Responsibilities

• Control all expenditure
• Reconcile cost/value reports & profit forecasts
• On-boarding of Sub contractors/suppliers
• Ensuring value for money & financial assessments
• Manage day to day cost control & monitoring & reporting
• Process Sub contractor requests for payment via application & invoice
• Attend project & company related meetings
• Ensure timely cash flow management
• Maintain & develop professional relationships with clients & customers
