Job summary

One Way Resourcing Limited is recruiting an experienced Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join a Hampshire-based main contractor. The role covers pre-construction through to completion on high-end residential projects, including refurbishments, conversions and bespoke new-builds.

You will take commercial ownership and support the estimating team when workload allows. The successful candidate will manage budgets, procurement, tender pricing and client valuations, while maintaining robust cost

Qualifications

• Experience in Quantity Surveying within a main contractor environment.
• Strong cost management and reporting skills.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender information.
• Proven procurement and commercial management capabilities.
• Excellent negotiation and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Commercial management of high-end residential refurbishment, conversion and new-build projects.
• Preparing and managing project budgets, cost plans and forecasts.
• Procurement of subcontractor and supplier packages.
• Preparing tender enquiries and analysing subcontractor quotations.
• Managing subcontractor accounts, valuations and payments.
• Preparing and submitting client valuations.
• Managing variations and change control.
• Monitoring project costs, margins and commercial performance.
• Preparing CVRs and providing accurate financial reporting.
• Negotiating and agreeing final accounts.
• Working closely with operational teams throughout project delivery.
• Supporting the estimating function during quieter periods.
