Job summary

One Way Resourcing is seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a well-established Hampshire building contractor delivering luxury residential, heritage refurbishments and specialist commercial projects. The role places you at the heart of commercial management across pre-construction to final account, with direct interaction with senior management.

Based in the New Forest area, you will oversee measurements, cost estimates, subcontractor procurement and cost reporting, ensuring projects

Responsibilities

• Manage the commercial aspects of construction projects from initial pricing through to final account.
• Undertake measurements and quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Prepare cost estimates, bills of quantities, budgets and interim valuations.
• Manage subcontractor procurement, including obtaining quotations, tender comparisons and appointments.
• Prepare and assess subcontractor applications, valuations and payments.
• Monitor project costs against budgets, identifying variations and managing commercial risks.
• Prepare regular cost reports and provide updates on project financial performance.
• Manage variations, contractual documentation and final account negotiations.
• Liaise directly with Site Managers, subcontractors, suppliers and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain accurate commercial records and support the successful delivery of projects within agreed budgets.
