Job summary

Talentmark is recruiting for a Senior QC Systems Technical Specialist to join a global pharmaceutical company in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, on a 12-month fixed-term contract. The role provides technical support for laboratory electronic systems (LIMS, CDS) used within the Quality Control Laboratory.

Key duties include creating and maintaining QC electronic system master data, supporting deployment of new systems, and coordinating with IT and external providers to ensure IT policy alignment.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level or above in a science discipline.
• Significant previous experience in a LIMS focused role.
• Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical QC electronic systems, including qualification and validation.

Responsibilities

• Create and maintain QC electronic system master data.
• Provide technical support for operation, maintenance and improvements of QC electronic systems.
• Support deployment of new/upgraded QC electronic systems.
• Support procurement, validation and qualification of new QC electronic systems and documentation.
• Coordinate with external system providers and IT to ensure QC systems follow IT policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user and technical issues while promoting best practices.
• Assist QC Analysts to ensure software changes align with data integrity and procedures.
• Prepare and update SOPs and training materials.

Talentmark are recruiting for a Senior QC Systems Technical Specialist to join a well-established and successful global pharmaceutical company, based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, on a 12 month Fixed term contract basis.

Role

This role is responsible for providing technical support for all laboratory electronic systems (e.g. LIMS, CDS) used within the Quality Control Laboratory.

Key duties will include

• Create and maintain QC electronic system master data.
• Provide technical support for the operation, maintenance and improvements of QC electronic systems to support the business needs.
• Support the deployment of new/upgraded QC electronic systems internally.
• Support the procurement, validation and qualification of new QC electronic systems and generate and review qualification and validation documentation.
• Maintain relationships with external system providers for technical and helpdesk support and coordinate with IT Team ensuring all QC electronic systems are maintained in line with IT policies.
• Troubleshoot and resolve user and technical system issues, promote best practices and escalates issues to QC management in a timely manner.
• Provide support to QC Analysts to ensure software changes are managed in line with data integrity and procedure requirements.
• Prepare and update SOPs and training materials for use and administration activities for QC electronic systems.

Your Background

• Educated to degree level or above in a science discipline with significant previous experience in a LIMS focused role.
• Strong working knowledge of pharmaceutical Quality Control electronic systems, including their qualification and validation.
• Significant previous experience in creating/updating master data for a laboratory LIMS and/or CDS system, within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Excellent communication and good people management skills to support progression of technically led projects internally and externally.
