Job summary

Gallagher in India seeks an experienced software quality engineer to support debugging activities and automation-driven testing across applications and system products. You will lead test plans, collaborate with development engineers, and contribute to evaluations of programming languages and computation software.

The role involves guiding a small to mid-sized team, ensuring independence and latitude in assignments, and aligning with policy implementations for timely short-term results.

Qualifications

• University Degree and minimum 7 years prior relevant experience, or equivalent experience.
• Debugging software
• Communication and stakeholder management skills
• Assurance and quality testing; troubleshooting
• App development/programming understanding

Responsibilities

• Specializes in debugging software using automated tests to achieve quality standards for applications, system products, and projects.
• Executes test plans to ensure program functionality and consults development engineers to address issues.
• Provides feedback for evaluation of programming languages, systems, and computation software.
• Develops, conducts, and evaluates application audits and testing processes.
• Manages a small to mid-sized team consisting of lower level Managers (M2) and seasoned Professionals who exercise latitude and independence in assignments.
• Implementing function and Division policies and strategies for short-term results (1 year or less).
• Handling problems that are difficult and moderately complex.
• Influencing others outside of own function regarding function policies, practices and procedures.
• Interfacing with other leadership and stakeholders within function and throughout the business.
