Job summary

Jagex Limited in Cambridge is seeking a Senior QA Analyst to own testing for our open-world, multiplayer game DragonWilds. You’ll shape test strategies, drive quality ownership, and mentor the QA team to uphold high standards across live operations and development.

You will collaborate with development, design, Live Operations and Localization, leveraging telemetry and profiling tools to identify risks and ensure a stable, balanced player experience.

Qualifications

• Proven experience managing QA for multiplayer or live-service products with networking, replication, persistence, matchmaking, and server testing.
• Strong understanding of open-world and multiplayer testing challenges, including streaming, AI interactions, server stability and save/load systems.
• Ability to define and drive risk-based test strategies in a live-service environment across cross-functional teams.
• Experience testing compatibility, certification, and performance testing.
• In-depth knowledge of QA tooling (e.g. JIRA, Xray, TestRail) and debugging or profiling tools.
• Proven experience mentoring QA team members and improving QA processes.

Responsibilities

• Own the testing strategy for RuneScape: Dragonwilds’ complex systems and ensure a stable gameplay experience.
• Define and evolve test strategies using Unreal Engine 5, automation, telemetry and profiling tools.
• Act as a Subject Matter Expert across QA and gameplay domains to surface risks from telemetry and defect trends.
• Mentor and develop QA team members and raise the bar for live-service testing.
• Collaborate across development, design, Live Operations, Localisation and Submission to ensure quality ownership through development.
