Job summary

N P Associates is seeking a Senior QA Full Stack Tester with Playwright and TypeScript experience to join our financial markets technology team. This hybrid role is based in London or Paris and focuses on end-to-end testing of complex front-end and back-end systems.

Collaborate with Development, Product and Operations, mentor junior testers, and contribute to client-facing testing support. Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, Python, and trading workflows is advantageous.

As a Senior Full Stack QA Tester, you will bridge the gap between front-end and back-end automation, playing a pivotal role in ensuring the high-standard delivery of major releases, upgrades, and bespoke client projects.

Candidates must have some knowledge of Financial Markets in any of: Equities, Fixed Income, Futures& Options, FX, Structured Products and some experience of Trading Systems, able to enter / cancel orders etc.

Key Responsibilities

• End-to-End Testing: Design, implement, and execute manual and automated test scripts for both complex front-end and back-end systems.
• UI Automation: Own and scale front-end test automation using Playwright with TypeScript for web and desktop applications.
• Collaboration: Work closely with internal Development, Product, Operations, and Business Analysis teams to define clear requirements and solution definitions.
• Leadership & Ownership: Act as the QA test lead for smaller projects, managing defects, issue resolution, and mentoring junior team members.
• Client Interfacing: Devote a small portion of your time to providing external testing support and guidance to global clients and third-party vendors.

What We Are Looking For

• Financial Markets Expertise: Demonstrable experience testing complex financial market software solutions, specifically within Cash Equities or related trading environments.

Desirable Skills (Bonus Points)

• ISEB/ISTQB Foundation Certification.
• Experience with Containers (Docker) and integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines.
• Familiarity with financial regulations, reporting rules, or asset classes like Derivatives, Asset Management, and Bonds.
• Knowledge of Python for back-end/API testing, or experience with WebSocket/real-time application testing.
