Job summary

Digital Waffle seeks a Senior Software Test Engineer who treats testing as an engineering discipline, collaborating with developers, product managers and designers to shape how software is designed, built, tested and released.

You’ll lead automated test strategies across UI, API, and integration layers, build robust regression suites, and identify risks early to enable frequent releases. You’ll apply exploratory testing, performance and security testing practices to raise quality.

Qualifications

• 6+ years’ experience in software testing or quality engineering.
• Hands-on automation across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Experience with modern web applications or SaaS platforms.
• Performance testing and understanding of performance risks.
• OWASP security testing knowledge.
• WCAG accessibility testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Engineer robust automated tests across UI, API, and integration layers.
• Build and maintain reliable regression suites that provide fast feedback for frequent releases.
• Work with developers from earliest stages to identify risks and make requirements testable.
• Use exploratory and manual testing to uncover issues automation misses.
• Apply risk-based testing to focus effort where it matters for release readiness.
• Investigate failures and drive root-cause fixes with engineers.
• Contribute to security-focused testing using OWASP principles.
• Incorporate WCAG accessibility testing into the development process.
• Improve test architecture, tooling, environments, and processes across the team.
