Job summary

Resident Advisor is seeking a Senior QA Engineer to own quality for ra.co, iOS/Android apps, and RA Scan. You’ll work across five product teams, maintain automated suites, and test high-risk releases yourself.

You’ll apply AI tools to testing, help teams write better tests, and ensure reliability from build to production. The role is based in Manchester with a full-time, permanent position and a salary range of £55,000–£67,000.

Qualifications

• Several years in QA or test engineering (4+ years) for web and mobile.
• Hands-on test automation in CI for web and mobile; Playwright/Cypress/Selenium; XCUITest/Espresso.
• Able to write tests in JavaScript/TypeScript/Kotlin/Swift and test APIs with SQL; AI testing experience.

Responsibilities

• Keep web end-to-end test suite healthy; fix flaky tests and extend coverage.
• Grow automated testing for iOS/Android apps and RA Scan; run tests on changes.
• Test high-risk releases like payments and checkout; cover edge cases.
• Review test plans and help teams improve them.
• Use AI tools to write and maintain tests; assist developers.
• Brief external testing partner and review results.
• Report bugs clearly and track through to resolution.
• Track metrics such as production bugs and test reliability.
