Job summary

MBDA is seeking a Quality Assurance Engineer to support Manufacturing UK with independent QA visibility and process improvements. You will advise on quality aspects across projects, manage SAP non-conformances and analyse defect data for root-cause actions.

The role is based in Henlow with regular visits to other MBDA sites in Stevenage and Bolton; travel UK/international will be required, and BPSS checks apply. Hybrid working is offered to fit workload.

Qualifications

• Ideally qualified to at least HNC/HND in a relevant subject.
• Experienced in process-based integrated management systems and business improvement.
• Skilled in risk management and problem solving tools such as 8D, 5Y, PFMEA.
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office: PowerPoint, Word and Excel.
• Experience in quality auditing and aerospace/defence standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent visibility and assurance that QA processes are applied across UK Manufacturing.
• Support quality aspects of all programmes to achieve cost, time and quality targets.
• Manage SAP non-conformances and analyse defect data for root-cause investigations.
• Perform independent assessments and audits and report outcomes to management.
• Maintain links with MBDA UK and overseas QA colleagues to share objectives.
