Job summary

Referment is a financial services tech company building cloud-native, multi-tenant platforms. We are seeking an automation-focused QA/SDET to design and own test automation across APIs, services, and a React frontend.

You will integrate tests into CI/CD, champion fast feedback, and lead performance and security-focused testing with the team. You’ll mentor engineers, participate in Agile ceremonies, and ensure testing aligns with PCI/ISO 27001 standards while continuously improving the test

Qualifications

• Significant commercial experience as a QA, test automation or SDET engineer.
• Strong programming skills for test automation in Kotlin, Java or TypeScript.
• Hands-on API and UI automation using Cypress or Playwright.
• Experience testing Spring Boot microservices with JUnit and Testcontainers.
• Proven performance and load testing with Gatling, k6 or JMeter.
• CI/CD integration and testing apps on Docker, Kubernetes and AWS.
• Good SQL skills, ideally PostgreSQL.
• Confidence using AI-assisted testing tools.
• Solid understanding of the test pyramid, BDD and TDD, and Agile/Lean practices.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and own automated test suites across APIs, services and a React frontend.
• Integrate tests into CI/CD to give fast, reliable feedback on changes.
• Lead performance, load and scalability testing with real scenarios.
• Review pull requests with a quality lens and evolve test strategy and metrics.
• Coach engineers and ensure quality is owned by the team; consider security and privacy in testing.
