Senior QA Engineer: Automation, UI/API Testing & CI/CD

Job summary

Grace Media and the Betable Group in Manchester is seeking a hands-on, mid to senior QA Engineer with strong automation experience to join our Product team. This is our first dedicated QA role, and you will build the automation framework for Atom and Brian, ensuring test coverage across UI, API and integration tests.

You will collaborate with Product, Engineering and Service Delivery to deliver high-quality releases, balance day-to-day testing with process improvements, and help shape QA

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a QA or test engineering role at mid to senior level.
• Hands-on experience building and maintaining test automation.
• Strong experience with modern UI automation tools such as Playwright, Cypress or Selenium.
• Experience with API testing and tooling such as Postman, REST Assured or similar.
• Proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript or another language used for test automation.
• Experience integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
• Solid understanding of testing methodologies, including functional, regression, exploratory and UAT.
• Attention to detail and a methodical approach to problem-solving.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to write clear bug reports and test summaries for technical and non-technical audiences.
• Knowledge of agile software development methodologies, such as Scrum or Kanban.
• Experience working with tools such as ClickUp or JIRA.
• Experience with multi-tenant SaaS, data/BI or AI products, or performance testing is desirable but not essential.
• Experience in the iGaming or Fintech industry is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Test planning and creating clear test plans and cases before development.
• Functional & regression testing across Mobile and Desktop.
• Design, build and maintain automation for UI, API and integration tests.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines with reporting.
• Validate multi-tenant configurations across tenants, brands and jurisdictions.
• Test data and AI product testing with product collaboration.
• Raise defects with reproducible steps and verify fixes.
• Provide test evidence and sign-off for releases.
• Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Compliance and Operations.
• Define QA standards and extend automation across products.
