Job summary

The Very Group is seeking an experienced QA leader to drive quality engineering across our Logistics & Fulfilment tech domain. You will balance hands-on testing leadership with strategic guidance, champion automation, and mentor offshore teams to improve delivery, quality and customer outcomes.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in Software Testing and Quality Engineering within complex tech environments.
• Experience operating at Principal, Lead or Senior QA level.
• Strong understanding of modern software development practices and Agile delivery methodologies.
• Proven experience designing and implementing automated testing strategies.
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks and coding for automation.
• Experience working with AI tools, APIs and testing tools such as Postman.
• Strong exploratory, functional and technical testing capabilities.
• Experience implementing TDD/BDD/ATDD approaches.
• Knowledge of non-functional testing including performance, resilience and security.
• Experience in Logistics, Supply Chain, Fulfilment, Retail or ecommerce environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Engineering strategy for a squad within Logistics & Fulfilment to embed quality across the SDLC.
• Champion an automation-first approach to enable faster, reliable delivery and better customer outcomes.
• Partner with Product Managers, Engineers and Architects from discovery to deployment.
• Build confidence in platforms through functional, non-functional and exploratory testing.
• Leverage AI-powered tools to improve testing outcomes and team efficiency.
• Coach and mentor offshore QA teams and drive best practices across squads.
• Promote Test-Driven and Behaviour-Driven development, and shift-left testing.
• Identify opportunities to improve tooling, frameworks and processes.
