Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer in Luton to shape quality foundations for aerospace programmes, ensuring product integrity and robust practices from concept to delivery. Role requires onsite presence three days per week.

You will collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams, lead RCA/CA activities, and support internal and external audits within a global defence context.

Qualifications

• Lead development and deployment of quality plans and assurance activities across the programme lifecycle.
• Drive root cause analysis and corrective actions to improve product and process performance.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and programme teams to continuously improve processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Support internal and external audits and customer reviews.
• Manage quality investigations and RCA/CA activities to improve performance.
• Ensure quality practices are embedded from concept through delivery.
• Support First Article Inspection (FAI) and process mapping activities.
• Maintain familiarity with AS9100 / ISO9001 Quality Management Systems.
• Travel to Edinburgh, Bristol and Southampton when needed, with minimum 3 days onsite per week.
• We will consider engineers not at senior level if they have strong quality fundamentals.
