Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking a Principal Quality Engineer for the Customer Support & Service Solutions team at our Luton site. The role is hybrid, with 2 onsite days per week and travel as required.

You will drive quality initiatives across programmes, act as primary QA contact, and support assurance activities to ensure safety, cost and quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001, experience with quality tools, and a proven ability to translate data into practical

Qualifications

• Experience with AS9100 and ISO9001 quality management standards.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience interacting with customers and suppliers in high-precision environments.
• Preferably engineering/quality/manufacturing or defence electronics background.

Responsibilities

• Act as primary QC contact for customers and stakeholders, ensuring requirements are understood.
• Provide QA/QC advice and support.
• Ensure products meet safety, cost, and quality standards on time.
• Collaborate with assurance teams to meet programme objectives.
• Monitor KPIs such as Quality Notifications and Cost of Poor Quality.
• Prepare reports for programme and project teams.
