Job summary

Hard Rock Digital in the United Kingdom is seeking a Senior QA Automation Engineer to lead the automated testing strategy across UI, API and mobile applications, ensuring high quality releases for millions of players.

You will design, implement, and maintain Playwright/Python UI tests and Appium/Python mobile tests, build API tests in Python, mentor teammates, conduct regression testing, and drive automation improvements.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of automation testing experience (API, Playwright and Appium)
• Proficiency in Python is essential
• Strong understanding of the testing pyramid and test placement
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines with GitHub Actions
• Knowledge of web/mobile QA across browsers/devices and platforms

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, execute and maintain UI automated tests using Playwright/Python for web apps
• Design, implement, execute and maintain mobile automated tests with Appium/Python
• Create API automated tests in Python for the technology stack
• Utilise AI tools to speed up understanding and automate test creation
• Provide code review guidance to the QA team and mentor colleagues
• Own regression testing and ensure quality releases through automation and manual validation when needed
• Perform root cause analysis and collaborate with developers to resolve defects
• Collaborate with product, developers and other stakeholders to improve testability
• Maintain comprehensive documentation of scripts, frameworks and processes
• Stay updated on testing trends and continuously improve QA processes
