A Day In The Life…

Reporting in to the Head of QA, this is a brand-new position due to ongoing growth and sits within Petlab Co.'s ambitious Development Team. This role will be vital in supporting the company's software development lifecycle as well as developing and maintaining automated tests and framework solutions. In this role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, and execution of automated testing as part of continuous integration and deployment practices, as well as creating and maintaining e2e tests with existing frameworks (Python, Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins).

We move and think fast, so it’s important that you are able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and are happy to roll up your sleeves to support the team in every way possible. This role is fully remote within the UK; however, we do have a really cool office space in central London if you do want to visit. If that sounds exciting, we would love you to join our pack!

Your day-to-day will look like this:

  1. Working closely with development and QA teams to improve test coverage and maintain the test pyramid.
  2. Setting up and optimizing automation projects with Continuous Integration.
  3. Supporting and maintaining existing automation frameworks (Python, Selenium WebDriver, Jenkins).
  4. Minimizing manual efforts in application testing and delivery.

What You Need…

  • Minimum five years of test automation experience, coupled with development experience in any programming language (Java, Python).
  • Hands-on experience with CI/CD configuration.
  • Experience in automated testing of web applications.
  • Experience with building automation testing frameworks from scratch.
  • Experienced with Rest API automation.
  • Experience with testing tools like Selenium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Demonstrable experience working closely with development and QA teams.
  • Experience designing, developing, and executing unit, integration, and performance tests; unit tests in PHP.
  • Experience in E-Commerce automation.
  • Experience with Jenkins.
  • ISTQB certification.
  • Knowledge of Frontend technologies: Next.js, React.js, TypeScript, Netlify.
  • Experience with AWS Beanstalk and EC2.
