Qualifications

• Experience in software QA and manual testing across web-based or business systems.
• Strong knowledge of functional, regression, exploratory and release testing.
• Experience reviewing specifications, requirements and user stories to identify gaps and risks.
• Experience creating and maintaining test plans, scenarios, cases and scripts.
• Experience tracking defects and using test management or defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical skills to investigate issues and validate fixes.
• Experience supporting UAT, release verification, and integration testing.

Senior QA Analyst

Altrincham (Hybrid Working)

Salary: £45k + Benefits

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior QA Analyst to join an established software organisation, taking responsibility for ensuring the quality, reliability and usability of its products. You will work closely with developers, product, support and implementation teams to support new feature development, version releases and customer issue investigations. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced QA professional to take a proactive role in improving testing processes, strengthening quality standards and helping deliver a reliable, high-quality user experience.

Skills & Experience

• Strong experience in software quality assurance and manual testing across web-based or business systems.
• A good understanding of functional, regression, exploratory and release testing.
• Experience reviewing system specifications, functional requirements and user stories to identify gaps, risks and edge cases.
• Experience creating, maintaining and executing test plans, scenarios, test cases and test scripts.
• Experience tracking and managing defects, bugs and enhancements using test management or defect tracking tools.
• Strong analytical skills, with the ability to investigate issues, reproduce defects and validate fixes.
• Experience supporting UAT, release verification, test environment coordination or integration testing.

Desirable Skills

• Experience working with TestMo.
• Experience testing commercial cloud software.
• An ISTQB qualification.
• Experience working with third parties on integration testing and external system access.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining product quality, supporting release readiness and investigating customer-reported issues. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will help identify risks early, improve testing practices and promote a proactive approach to quality.
