Job summary

BUUK Infrastructure Limited is seeking a Senior Systems Developer to design, develop and maintain full-stack solutions using Python and PostgreSQL. You will work closely with users and product owners to ensure software delivers value, while promoting best practices and robust release processes.

You will lead design decisions, mentor colleagues, and help shape IT policies within a collaborative, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent IT experience
• Experience designing large or complex systems
• Experience with release management tools (Azure DevOps/Jenkins)
• Experience with Git version control
• Experience client-side development (React/JQuery/JavaScript) and CSS/Bootstrap
• Server-side development experience
• Understanding OWASP Top 10 and secure coding practices
• Familiarity with agile, kanban, scrum or waterfall methodologies
• Experience querying and optimizing relational SQL databases
• Experience providing IT support with SLA targets
• Experience integrating multiple systems

Responsibilities

• Design, code, test and refactor complex programs, modules and integrations
• Provide customer-centric software solutions and work with product owners
• Capture and share specialist knowledge for the team
• Maintain release processes and deployment tools
• Continuously improve processes and delivery methods
• Support applications to minimize incidents and meet service levels
• Contribute as a senior specialist to evolving practices and culture
• Perform other duties as required by line management
