Job summary

Searchability in London is seeking a Senior Machine Learning Engineer with strong Python development skills to design, build and deploy AI/ML software for secure environments. You will work on production-ready systems, deploying models across AWS/Azure/GCP and orchestrating them with Docker and Kubernetes.

You will lead technical decisions, collaborate with data science teams and client stakeholders, and ensure scalable, secure solutions.

Qualifications

• Strong commercial Python development experience.
• Excellent software engineering fundamentals and coding practices.
• Experience deploying and operationalising machine learning models in production.
• Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Understanding of system architecture, scalability, reliability and security.
• Strong communication skills with stakeholders.
• Leadership experience in engineering teams or technical projects.
• Active SC or DV security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design, build and deploy production-grade AI and ML software.
• Develop robust, reusable systems using Python.
• Build and maintain scalable cloud infrastructure across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Implement containerised applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Operationalise machine learning models built with TensorFlow and PyTorch.
• Lead technical scoping, architecture and engineering decisions.
• Establish best practices for deploying and maintaining ML systems at scale.
• Work closely with clients and technical teams to solve complex problems.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to the wider engineering culture.
