Job summary

Client Server is seeking a skilled Python lead to drive a small tech team in delivering new features on a core banking platform. You will refactor code, collaborate across disciplines, and balance architectural work with people management to foster growth.

The role requires strong SDLC experience, cloud familiarity (GCP/AWS/Azure), and mentoring capabilities. A STEM degree with a 2.1+ is expected, with a focus on continuous improvement and robust communication.

Qualifications

• Skilled Python developer with team leadership experience
• Strong knowledge of software engineering best practices
• Full SDLC experience
• Team leadership including mentoring and performance reviews
• Knowledge of cloud-based services (GCP preferred, AWS or Azure acceptable)
• Experience building APIs, ideally with FastAPI
• Good understanding of CI/CD, testing, and deployment
• Thorough understanding of CS fundamentals such as OOP, Data Structures, Design Patterns, and Algorithms
• Collaborative and pragmatic with great communication skills
• Degree in a STEM discipline with a 2.1 or above

Responsibilities

• Lead a small tech team to deliver new features and enhancements

• Maintain a 50/50 split between architecture/design and people management
