Job summary

City Science is seeking a senior Python developer to design, build and maintain Python packages for modelling, simulation and data processing. You will lead engineering decisions, shape architecture, and turn analytical needs into reliable software.

You may be responsible for line managing one or more developers, with regular 1:1s, objective setting and performance reviews as part of a leadership pathways programme. Collaboration across disciplines is key to success.

Qualifications

• Proven Python developer with senior-level experience.
• Strong command of Python ecosystem and tooling.
• Track record of building production-grade applications.
• Ability to write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.
• Experience mentoring or line-managing developers.
• Strong problem-solving and communication across teams.
