Job summary

Jobgether is partnering to hire a Software Engineer (Python) for Programmable Networking in the United Kingdom. The role is senior, spanning API design, orchestration, and production operations for global network resources.

You will work on customer-facing APIs, network orchestration, and infrastructure control planes with Go and Python, including Envoy/xDS integrations and cloud interconnects.

Qualifications

• Significant professional experience building and operating production software with customer-facing APIs and distributed systems.

Responsibilities

• Build customer-facing REST resources for private networks and related health, coverage, and usage endpoints.
• Develop asynchronous Python services translating API requests into real network deployments.
• Automate network infrastructure using Ansible and SSH-based tooling.
• Integrate with cloud providers to provision cross-connects and connect networks to AWS/Azure/GCP.
• Develop infrastructure control planes and manage configuration delivery to edge data planes.
• Own production reliability with monitoring, incident response, and observability improvements.
• Apply clean architecture, testing, and safe deployment practices to scale the platform.
