Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Python/Django) to join a fully remote, international engineering team. You will design and build high-performance APIs and microservices that power a global connectivity platform used by travelers and partners worldwide.

You will work closely with Product and QA to translate complex business requirements into scalable backend solutions, enforce testing and code quality, and continuously improve performance and reliability in a high-load environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of backend development experience with Django and Django REST Framework.
• Strong Python skills and backend architecture knowledge.
• Experience designing microservices and integrating third-party systems.
• Experience with unit testing using Pytest.
• Experience with asynchronous programming and optimizing high-load queries.
• Excellent English in an international environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and optimize mission-critical microservices using Python and Django.
• Design scalable APIs to support high-concurrency traffic.
• Contribute to software architecture focusing on operations, automation, and resilience.
• Establish and maintain quality frameworks with unit testing and automated checks.
• Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and N+1 issues.
• Collaborate with Product, QA, and international teams to translate requirements into solutions.
• Mentor and uphold engineering best practices across the lifecycle.
