Job summary

Saragossa in London is seeking an experienced Python Developer with a strong background in investment management to join a high-performing technology team delivering mission-critical solutions across the front and middle office.

You'll work closely with portfolio managers, traders, business analysts, and technology teams to design, develop, and enhance applications that support the investment lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Extensive commercial experience developing applications in Python.
• Deep understanding of investment management workflows, trading operations, and portfolio management systems.
• Excellent SQL skills, including writing and optimising complex queries.
• Experience with REST APIs, cloud platforms, and data modelling.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Python applications supporting investment management processes.
• Build and optimise data pipelines, APIs, and automation tools.
• Develop and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database solutions.
• Work closely with front office stakeholders to deliver technology solutions aligned with business needs.
• Integrate with portfolio management, order management, and market data platforms.
• Improve system performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Participate in solution design, code reviews, testing, and deployment.
