Job summary

Citi in Belfast is seeking a Python Developer to join the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team. You will design and deliver technology solutions for the front office and Credit Risk business, collaborating with onshore and offshore teams and using Python, FastAPI, and modern data/AI techniques.

The role focuses on building enterprise-scale Python applications, working with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes, and communicating progress to project leads while solving production issues.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hands-on experience building an enterprise-scale Python application.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and other containerized platforms.
• Ability to effectively interact, collaborate with development teams.
• Experience with modern Python development using LLM, Model Context Protocol, and Retrieval Augmented Generation (RAG).

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Build and deliver enterprise-scale Python applications.
• Work with CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes in a containerized environment.
• Collaborate with onshore, offshore and matrix teams to implement business solutions.
• Investigate production support issues and potential bugs.
• Communicate development progress to the Project Lead.
