Job summary

Citibank (Switzerland) AG in Belfast is seeking a Senior Python developer to join the Wholesale Credit Risk Technology team. You will partner with onshore and offshore teams to design and deliver innovative technology solutions for the front office and Credit Risk Business, using Python, FastAPI, MCP, LLM, and Java.

The role focuses on building enterprise-scale, componentized applications and participating in an evolving tech stack.

Qualifications

• 5+ years hands-on experience building enterprise-scale, highly componentized apps using Python and FastAPI.
• Hands-on Python development experience.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes and containerized platforms.
• Experience with modern Python development using LLMs, Model Context Protocol and RAG architectures.
• Finance industry experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Research and resolve complex issues, escalating as appropriate.
• Collaborate with onshore, offshore and matrix teams to implement a business solution.
• Communicate development progress to the Project Lead.
