Job summary

JPMorganChase in Glasgow is seeking a Software Engineer III within the Data Science Engineering team of Asset & Wealth Management. You will join an agile team to design and deliver trusted, scalable tech products while ensuring security and reliability.

Responsibilities include building production-grade code, applying AI-assisted development tools, designing complex architectures, and deriving insights from large data sets to improve software systems.

Qualifications

Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts and practical experience.
Proficiency in Python and strong SQL skills for data workflows.
Hands-on experience in system design, development, testing, and operational stability.
Experience using enterprise AI-assisted development tools with evaluation and validation of AI outputs.
Understanding of responsible AI use, data sensitivity, and secure handling of inputs/outputs.
Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle and CI/CD practices.

Responsibilities

Execute software solutions, design, develop, and troubleshoot complex problems beyond routine approaches.
Create secure, high-quality production code and maintain performance-focused algorithms.
Leverage enterprise AI tooling to improve code quality, speed, and productivity with peer review.
Utilize SDLC tools to enhance automation and overall project value.
Produce architecture and design artifacts for complex applications and ensure constraints are met.
Gather and transform large data sets into visualizations and reporting to drive improvements.
Identify hidden data patterns to drive improvements in coding hygiene and system architecture.
