Job summary

Areti Group | B Corp™ is seeking a Senior Python Engineer in London to build production-grade Python services, APIs and AI-powered systems. This role is hands-on and focuses on ownership of architecture, infrastructure and delivery, not traditional data science.

You will work on an agentic AI platform with emphasis on security, reliability and engineering quality, shaping AI adoption across the engineering team and contributing to production agentic systems.

Qualifications

• Senior-level backend/software engineering experience.
• Experience building APIs, services or microservices.
• Production experience with LLMs, GenAI or AI agents.
• Experience with RAG, tool calling, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP or similar.
• AWS or Azure experience.
• Strong understanding of testing, security and production systems.
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code.

Senior Python Engineer - AI & Agentic Systems | London | £70k

Build production AI agents

I'm working with a high-growth, technology-led business that is investing heavily in AI and looking for a Senior Python Engineer to help build the next generation of its engineering platform.

This is not a traditional Data Science or ML role.

You'll be a hands-on software engineer building production-grade Python services, APIs and AI-powered systems, with real ownership over architecture, infrastructure and delivery.

What you'll be working on

You'll help build and scale an agentic AI platform that brings AI into real business workflows, with a strong focus on security, reliability and engineering quality.

You'll be involved in:

• Building production Python services and APIs
• Designing and integrating LLM-powered applications and AI agents
• Agent orchestration, tool calling and RAG
• Authentication, permissions and AI guardrails
• Evaluation, monitoring and observability
• Cloud infrastructure and deployment
• Docker, CI/CD and production engineering
• Using tools such as Claude Code, Cursor or similar
• Helping shape how AI is adopted across the wider engineering team

What we're looking for

We're looking for a strong software engineer first, with genuine experience building with AI.

You'll ideally have:

• Senior-level backend/software engineering experience
• Experience building APIs, services or microservices
• Production experience with LLMs, GenAI or AI agents
• Experience with RAG, tool calling, LangChain, LangGraph, MCP or similar
• AWS or Azure experience
• Strong understanding of testing, security and production systems
• Experience using AI coding tools such as Cursor or Claude Code

Most importantly, we're looking for someone who has actually built and shipped AI-powered systems, rather than someone whose AI experience is limited to experimentation.

This is a genuine opportunity to have a major influence on how AI is used across an engineering organisation.

You'll have ownership over technical decisions, work on production agentic systems and help shape the standards around security, deployment and AI-assisted development.
