Job summary

Client Server Ltd. in London is seeking a Python Developer / Engineer (SQL ETL) to join a Hedge Fund building a modern medallion data platform architecture. This hands-on role offers ownership and impact within a collaborative small team.

You will design Python components, develop ETL pipelines and distributed systems, and work across data engineering, infrastructure and frontend. Strong stakeholder management and a track record in data-intensive environments are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Backend development with Python
• Experience with financial or market data
• Experience designing and operating data-intensive distributed systems
• Strong knowledge of relational, NoSQL and columnar databases
• Ownership of full development lifecycle and stakeholder management

Responsibilities

• Design and build data platform components using Python
• Develop and optimise ETL pipelines, Data Lakes / Lakehouses and distributed systems
• Improve infrastructure, observability and CI/CD practices
• Maintain and evolve existing systems (microservices, ETL, Excel add-ins)
• Support platform operations, ensuring reliability and performance
