Job summary

Client Server is seeking a Senior Python Developer / Consultant (AWS SaaS) in Manchester with hybrid working. You will own backend development and work closely with clients on bespoke projects.

The role focuses on building cloud-based Python applications with AWS, including CDK, and applying modern DevOps practices. You’ll join a growing team with opportunities to shape the product and career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience working directly with clients and owning bespoke development work.
• Strong Python backend development skills, ideally with FastAPI.
• Experience with AWS including CDK.
• Solid understanding of DevOps principles.
• Full software development lifecycle experience and modern best practices.
• Business acumen from startups/SMEs; proactive contributor.
• Degree in computer science or related field.
• Active Github account and/or personal projects preferred.

Senior Python Developer / Consultant (AWS SaaS) Manchester / WFH to £80k

Do you have strong backend Python and AWS skills combined with client facing experience?

You could be progressing your career in a senior, hands‑on Python Developer / Consultant role at a profitable technology scale‑up that is producing a software suite for legal firms that massively reduces para‑legal workloads, they have seen huge interest in the product and have a lot of greenfield development work to get stuck into.

As a Senior Python Developer you will collaborate closely with clients, taking ownership of client bespoke projects end‑to‑end with a focus on building cloud based applications / systems using Python and AWS.

You’ll work independently, make technical decisions and see the results of your work quickly.

Location / WFH:

You’ll join a small but growing team based in Central Manchester three days a week (or at client sites) with flexibility to work from home the other two days.

About you:

• You have experience of working directly with clients and taking ownership of client bespoke development work
• You have strong Python backend development skills ideally including FastAPI
• You have experience with AWS including Amazon CDK
• You have a strong understanding of DevOps principles
• You have full software development lifecycle experience and a good knowledge of modern software engineering best practices
• You have good business acumen, with experience of working in start‑ups or SMEs
• You’re proactive and keen to contribute to the product
• You are degree educated in Computer Science or similar technical discipline
• Ideally, you’ll have an active Github account and / or personal projects
