Job description

I'm working with a growing SaaS company operating in the legaltech space - they’re on a mission to make enterprise data more accessible, searchable, and litigation-ready.

They're now looking for a Contract Python Developer to support a key platform transformation project, moving from a serverless architecture to a containerised Kubernetes setup. You’ll work closely with senior engineering leaders and have a direct impact on the scalability of their product offering.

What’s involved?

1. Replatforming critical backend systems
2. Building and refining APIs using FastAPI
3. Collaborating with frontend engineers working in React
4. Deploying to GCP and supporting Kubernetes deployment workflows
5. Working in a tight-knit, remote-first UK engineering team
6. Knowledge of Elasticsearch (nice to have)
7. Collaborating with React frontend team

Location: Fully Remote (UK hours) - Candidates must have full RTW in the UK

Budget: Flexible depending on experience – happy to share top, mid, and baseline rates

Preferred location: UK-based (especially North), but open across the UK
