Client Server is seeking a Software Engineer / Developer (Python) in Cirencester with hybrid working options up to £85k. You will build Greenfield, data-driven applications that process satellite imagery and related data for government, energy, and conservation clients.

The role emphasizes Python backend services, ownership of features from ideation to production, and collaboration in a small, funded startup environment with real-world climate impact.

Qualifications

• Strong Python backend development skills; Ruby would be useful but not essential.
• Knowledge of geospatial or image processing technology.
• Experience using AI tools such as Claude in daily workflows.
• Experience in a start-up or small business with ownership of Greenfield projects.
• Collaborative with good communication skills and willingness to participate in technical discussions.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop Greenfield, data-centric applications monitoring Arctic ice and data points for clients.
• Focus on Python backend services and own projects end-to-end from ideation to production.
