Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) ProServe is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect to lead enterprise cloud engagements in the UK. You will design and deliver complex, scalable architectures for financial services and other industries, translating business needs into technical strategy and actionable roadmaps.

You will mentor junior architects, collaborate with AWS product teams, and help shape best practices across the region while navigating regulatory requirements and data sovereignty considerations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• Experience as a technical specialist in design and architecture.
• Experience in cloud-based solutions (AWS or equivalent).
• Strong proficiency in IaC, CI/CD, data, containerization, serverless, and modern app patterns.
• Excellent communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and implementation of enterprise cloud architectures for FS customers.
• Advise C-level and senior technical stakeholders; translate requirements to scalable solutions.
• Drive cloud adoption strategies including migration, modernization, analytics, AI/ML, and hybrid architectures.
• Develop reference architectures, implementations, and proof-of-concepts to accelerate outcomes.
• Mentor junior architects and raise the technical bar across engagements.
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps based on feedback.
• Contribute to reusable assets, frameworks, and methodologies across the region.

In this role, you will work directly with customers across Financial Services (FS) to design and implement transformative cloud solutions on AWS. You will serve as a trusted technical advisor, leading complex cloud architecture engagements from strategy through delivery, while mentoring teams and shaping best practices across the region.

Key job responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of complex, enterprise-scale cloud architectures for customers in FS industry
• Serve as a trusted technical advisor to C-level executives and senior technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into scalable cloud solutions
• Drive cloud adoption strategies including migration, modernization, data analytics, AI/ML, and hybrid architectures tailored to industry-specific needs
• Develop and deliver technical architectures, reference implementations, and proof-of-concepts that accelerate customer outcomes
• Mentor and guide junior architects, contributing to team development and raising the technical bar across engagements
• Collaborate with AWS service teams to influence product roadmaps based on customer feedback and industry trends
• Contribute to reusable assets, frameworks, and methodologies that scale ProServe's impact across the region
• Navigate regulatory, compliance, and data sovereignty requirements specific to financial services landscape

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or experience in a professional field or military
• Experience as technical specialist in design and architecture
• Experience in cloud based solution (AWS or equivalent), system, network and operating system
• Strong proficiency in infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD pipelines, Data, containerization, serverless architectures, and modern application development patterns
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with data analytics and AI/ML architectures, including data lakes, real-time streaming, and generative AI solutions on AWS
• Proven track record of building and maintaining executive-level relationships (CTO/CIO) and influencing technology strategy at the organizational level
• Experience contributing to pre-sales activities including proposals, statements of work (SOW), and business development efforts within a professional services or consulting organization
