• Significant experience in R&D/advanced engineering or product innovation.
• Proven track record from idea to implemented solution.
• Strong mechanical design and development expertise.
• Hands-on prototyping, machining and experimental development experience.
• Good understanding of DfMA and design-for-manufacture.
• Knowledge of engineering drawings, GD&T, limits and fits.
• Experience managing technical projects, budgets and schedules.
• Ability to work independently and make sound engineering decisions.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead research and technology projects from concept through to implementation.
• Identify opportunities to improve product performance, manufacturing capability, cost and lead time.
• Develop business cases for new technologies and secure stakeholder buy-in.
• Design, build and validate prototypes, tooling and test equipment.
• Manage project budgets, schedules and technical deliverables.
• Produce and approve engineering designs, drawings and 3D models.
• Conduct trade studies and feasibility assessments.
• Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing partners and multidisciplinary teams.
• Own verification and validation activities for robust solutions.
