Job summary

Alpine Fire Engineers Ltd is seeking a Proposals Engineer to join the Major Projects Proposals Team, shaping high-value tenders from £100k to £5m+. You will estimate in line with the business plan, ensuring competitive, technically robust submissions.

You’ll develop sprinkler specifications, support customers from enquiry to proposal, and collaborate to win and deliver major projects across multiple sectors.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of sprinkler standards LPC and FM.
• Commercial awareness and understanding of pricing structures.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholders.
• Proactive, organised approach with strong attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for sprinkler systems on projects valued between £100k – £5m+.
• Applying technical knowledge across sprinkler standards including LPC and FM.
• Completing detailed site surveys and communicating with stakeholders throughout the tender process.
• Working across sectors including Automotive, Pharma, Food & Beverage.
• Applying knowledge of pricing, warehousing, distribution, and manufacturing processes.
• Collaborating with the Project Design Team to support new and live contracts.
• Producing block plans to support tender documentation.
