Job summary

Ayrshire Valuation Joint Board is seeking a Senior Property Technician / Surveyor to undertake statutory valuations for council tax and rating purposes. You will survey and value lands and hereditages, negotiate appeals with taxpayers and agents, and prepare cases for the First-Tier Tribunal.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills.
• Team player with ability to manage workload and deadlines.
• Experience in statutory valuations for council tax and rating purposes is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Survey and value lands and hereditages for Lands Valuation Acts and Local Government Finance Act 1992.
• Discuss and negotiate appeals with taxpayers and professional agents; prepare cases for the First-Tier Tribunal.
• Appear as expert witness at hearings and manage own workload to meet statutory timescales.
