Job summary

Lawes Consulting Group is recruiting an experienced Loss Adjuster to handle a varied portfolio of private and commercial property claims across Scotland, with an office base in Glasgow. You will work closely with brokers, insurers, and legal organisations throughout the full claims lifecycle.

The role requires independent management of caseloads, strong investigation and negotiation skills, and a full UK driving licence, with clear communication and commitment to professional development.

Qualifications

• Proven experience handling domestic and commercial property claims.
• Strong investigation, negotiation, and customer-facing skills.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Interest in professional development and qualifications, if not already attained.

Responsibilities

• Review claim notifications, policy wordings and coverage to understand insured scope and exclusions.
• Attend properties to inspect damage across domestic and commercial settings.
• Interview policyholders, witnesses, contractors and relevant parties; review invoices and repair estimates.
• Liaise with surveyors, restoration companies, engineers and other experts as required.
• Provide clear updates to policyholders, brokers and insurers; explain decisions and policy implications.
