Job summary

InPost UK is seeking a Senior Buyer for Property and Facilities Management to lead sourcing, negotiation and management of UK property, FM and construction procurement. You will secure optimal terms on leases, FM services and construction contracts while shaping category strategy and identifying opportunities.

The role requires experience across leases, FM, construction procurement and strong stakeholder management, with a view to driving cost optimisation and compliance across the portfolio.

Qualifications

• Property, facilities management and/or construction procurement experience within the UK market.
• Direct experience negotiating property leases (land, buildings, industrial and logistics facilities).
• Bachelor's degree in Property, Real Estate, Construction, or related field.
• Strong knowledge of Source-to-Pay, UK property, leasing and construction procurement practices.
• Understanding of construction processes, contract forms (e.g. JCT/NEC) and building regulations.
• Strong knowledge of MS Office, ERP systems and analytical frameworks (PESTEL, ABC/XYZ, Porter's Five Forces).
• Ability to build relationships with external and internal clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead the sourcing and negotiation of property leases across the UK portfolio, securing optimal commercial and legal terms.
• Manage procurement of Facilities Management services, including hard FM, soft FM, maintenance, security, cleaning and utilities.
• Manage procurement for construction, fit-out and works projects, applying understanding of construction processes and site delivery.
• Identify procurement opportunities by monitoring market trends, technologies and new ways of working across property, FM and construction.
• Conduct market analysis and benchmarking of UK property, FM and construction markets with landlords, developers and providers.
• Lead commercial negotiations with landlords, developers, contractors and FM suppliers; conclude lease and service/construction contracts.
• Review lease terms, SLAs and contracts with Legal to manage risk and compliance (JCT/NEC, landlord/tenant law, building regs).
• Qualification, verification and evaluation of suppliers, contractors, landlords and agents.
• Manage procurement projects (RFI, RFQ, RFP) for property, FM and construction categories.
• Build and maintain relationships with landlords, agents, contractors and FM providers; monitor supplier performance.
• Track lease events (renewals, break options, rent reviews) and support portfolio decision-making.
• Support cost optimisation, sustainability and space utilisation initiatives across UK property and FM.
• Collaborate with Legal, Finance, Health & Safety, and Operations on property, FM and construction matters.
• Cyclical performance and KPI reporting for property, FM and construction categories.
• Maintain tender and contract documentation; work in SAP and other ERP systems.
