Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Senior Project Surveyor to deliver cost management across multiple projects from inception to completion. Based in the Bristol or Cardiff offices, you will lead cost management commissions on schemes ranging from £5m to £100m, and mentor junior staff while collaborating with clients and the project team.

You will manage internal resources, ensure timely outputs and apply knowledge of JCT/NEC contracts.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of managing internal resources, including the training and mentoring of more junior staff members.
• Good Understanding of contracts (JCT and NEC).
• Supporter of social and CSR activities, promoting a positive and enjoyable workplace.
• Full UK driving licence and a willingness to travel.
• CSCS card holder

Responsibilities

• Provide effective support and mentoring to Graduates and Apprentices.
• Develops strong reciprocal relationships with clients and members of the project team.

As a Senior Project Surveyor you will work as part of the team to help deliver all aspects of quantity surveying from inception of a project through to completion. You will work on a number of projects, varying in complexity, ranging in value from £5m – £100m.These projects will be from a range of sectors, with our current active sectors being Higher Education, Public Sector, Defence, Residential and Infrastructure.

Approach to all projects requires a high degree of flexibility and creativity, excellent presentational skills and an ability to communicate effectively with clients and consultants. The successful candidate shall be charged with the delivery of Cost Management Services within our Client focused and highly motivated professional team.

Joining our South West team, this role can be based from either our Bristol or Cardiff offices.

Your tasks will include but not be limited to the following;

• Professionally Qualified – Chartered Status with the RICS or other equivalent institution is preferred.
• Degree Qualified – BSc or MSc – in Quantity Surveying/Cost Management or similar construction related undergraduate degree.
