Job summary

Assystem is seeking an experienced Project Planner to support the Hinkley Point C mega project. The role focuses on developing, integrating, and optimising short-term schedules for MEH installation activities within the PMO.

You will coordinate multiple Tier 1 contractor schedules, perform look-ahead planning, and deliver planning reports to project stakeholders. Hybrid working and extensive infrastructure exposure are offered.

Qualifications

• Experience in construction planning within major engineering or infrastructure programmes.
• Strong understanding of EPC environments and project controls.
• Proven ability to develop and manage detailed schedules and look-ahead plans.
• Ability to analyse programme performance, identify risks and recovery strategies.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and update detailed construction schedules for installation, testing and commissioning.
• Integrate activities from multiple Tier 1 contractors into a single programme.
• Conduct schedule reviews and optimisation to improve sequencing and delivery.
• Support teams in resolving clashes, constraints and interfaces.
• Coordinate across workstreams to align with wider project milestones.
• Support 16-week look-ahead planning; monitor progress and forecast milestones.
• Produce planning reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
• Communicate resource requirements and delivery priorities to Construction Management teams.
• Utilise planning systems and 4D tools to manage data and controls.
• Collaborate with 4D planning teams to model sequencing and coordination.
