Job summary

Our client, a leading Independent Power Producer, is seeking a Senior Project Planner to drive the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System projects across the UK. The role supports from inception to completion and contributes to the clean energy transition.

You will plan lifecycles, coordinate schedules and costs, and work with internal and external stakeholders to align timelines, validate contractor schedules, and manage risk.

Qualifications

• 10 or more years of proven experience in project planning within M&E projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor full project lifecycles, reporting progress to senior leadership and project managers.
• Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, including developing “what-if” scenarios to mitigate project risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and validate contractor schedules.
• Analyse schedule and cost variances, ensure SIMOPS compliance, and recommend corrective actions to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Support progress reporting, baseline schedule development, and risk management processes.
• Contribute to lessons learned documentation and project closeout activities.
