Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR is seeking a Senior Project Planner to support the delivery of Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects across the UK. The role leads planning from inception to completion, ensuring on-time, on-budget execution in a fast-paced renewables environment.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in M&E project planning, with Primavera P6 and PowerBI expertise, strong stakeholder management, and a proactive approach to risk. Hybrid working and a competitive package are on offer.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of proven experience in project planning for M&E projects.
• Experience in schedule coordination, cost forecasting, and earned value management.
• Strong understanding of SIMOPS, contractor schedule validation, and risk analysis.
• Proficiency in Primavera P6 and PowerBI.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Proactive mindset focused on delivering renewable energy projects.

Responsibilities

• Plan and monitor full project lifecycles, reporting progress to senior leadership and project managers.
• Coordinate schedules, costs, and resource models, including what-if scenarios to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external stakeholders to align timelines and contractor schedules.
• Analyze schedule and cost variances, ensure SIMOPS compliance, and mitigate risks to meet deadlines and budgets.
• Support progress reporting, baseline schedule development, and risk management processes.
• Contribute to lessons learned and project closeout activities.
