Job summary

The Conservation Volunteers is seeking a Senior Project Officer to lead volunteer recruitment and engagement across County Armagh and adjacent areas. You will oversee practical conservation projects, coordinate community groups and ensure high standards of delivery and safety.

This role requires experience in horticulture or environmental work, a track record with volunteers, and strong organisational and people skills. A UK driving licence and right to work in the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in practical horticulture or environmental work.
• Experience and understanding of working with volunteers, community involvement and the charity/NGO sector is important.
• A driving licence and ability to travel across the area may be required.

Responsibilities

• Deliver operational delivery of TCV projects and lead on volunteer recruitment and engagement.
• Coordinate and run Green Gym and practical horticulture sessions for community groups across the County Armagh and Mid-Ulster areas.
• Involve volunteers in habitat management projects in parks, council sites and nature reserves.
• Support delivery of the PeacePlus Bloom and Branch project within Newry Mourne & Down Council area.
