Climate17 is working with a leading renewable energy company dedicated to pioneering clean energy solutions for everyone, everywhere.

They are seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Project Manager with strong experience in delivering Solar Farm projects to join their team on a 12-month FTC basis, with the potential to become permanent.

Role

The Senior Project Manager will oversee the planning, execution, and delivery of solar farm projects in the UK. This role requires strong project management skills, technical expertise in solar energy, and the ability to lead cross-functional teams to ensure successful project completion on time and within budget.

Responsibilities

1. Project Planning and Execution: Develop and manage project plans, schedules, and budgets. Ensure all milestones and deliverables are met.
2. Team Leadership: Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams, including engineers, contractors, and subcontractors. Foster a collaborative work environment.
3. Stakeholder Management: Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including project sponsors, regulatory bodies, and internal teams. Provide regular updates and address issues.
4. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor progress and implement corrective actions as needed.
5. Quality Assurance: Ensure all activities comply with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
6. Resource Management: Allocate and manage resources, including personnel, equipment, and materials, to optimize efficiency.
7. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation and prepare detailed reports on project status and performance.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Renewable Energy, Project Management, or a related field.
2. Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the utility-scale renewable energy sector.
3. Proven track record of managing utility-scale solar projects successfully.
4. Strong knowledge of solar energy systems, technologies, industry standards, and regulations including CDM Regulations 2015.
5. Proficiency in project management software and tools.
6. PMP or similar certification is a plus.
