The Work You'll Do:

As a Project Manager, you will oversee the complete life cycle of software implementation projects, including initiation, planning, execution, control, and closure, to ensure planned results are achieved on time. You will develop project plans, timelines, and ensure progress-to-plan, actuals-to-budget tracking, and communication of critical project achievements. Acting as the primary point of contact for the project, you will provide regular updates to all stakeholders and manage any project-related escalations. You will also collaborate with diverse vendors and teams to establish and achieve shared goals.

What are my responsibilities going to be:

  • Manage all assigned projects to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, meeting budgetary demands, and maintaining overall project ownership.
  • Develop project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
  • Plan and manage project resources effectively, fostering an inclusive and collaborative environment.
  • Manage and approve all billable time and expenses recorded against the project by Sovos Consultants, including your own project time and expenses.
  • Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule, and costs.
  • Provide regular updates to internal and external stakeholders and hold weekly project update meetings throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Manage expectations for internal and external stakeholders to ensure satisfaction throughout the implementation process.
  • Serve as the first level of escalation for all project-related risks and issues.

What We Need From You:

  • A minimum of 5 years of project management experience, specifically in managing large, complex projects in software industry..
  • Experience working with large multinational corporations, including Fortune 500 companies, and familiarity with managing projects involving globally distributed teams.
  • Deep knowledge of project management principles and practices.
  • Experience in implementing high-stakes, long-term projects for large clients with complex requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and work assignments concurrently.
  • Experience using Microsoft Project or other project management solutions is highly desirable.
  • Comfort working in a global environment and managing diverse, geographically dispersed teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
  • PMP certification is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel moderately to Sovos locations/events and client sites when necessary.
