Job summary

Wates Property Services is recruiting an experienced Project Manager to lead a £20m social housing planned maintenance programme on Canvey Island, Essex. You will own the delivery from mobilisation through to completion, coordinating workstreams across occupied properties and managing budgets and resources.

The role requires proven social housing maintenance delivery, exceptional organisation, leadership and stakeholder management, plus SMSTS and a full UK driving licence.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Project Manager within social housing planned maintenance.
• Experience delivering refurbishment and property improvements.
• Strong organisation, planning and programme management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of the planned maintenance contract from mobilisation to completion.
• Oversee works across windows, doors, roofing, kitchens and bathrooms.
• Direct site management teams and subcontractors across multiple workstreams.
• Manage programme performance, budgets and resource allocation.
• Monitor health & safety, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Produce and present progress reports to senior management and clients.
• Identify and mitigate project risks and drive continuous improvement.
• Ensure excellent communication between all stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
