Atomic Weapons Establishment is seeking a Senior Project Manager – Construction to lead complex construction and nuclear projects. You will drive governance, safety, and performance while stewarding cross‑functional teams and ensuring alignment with regulatory artefacts.

The role requires proven leadership in infrastructure delivery, experience with CDM projects, and strong EVM/data interpretation to inform decisions.

Qualifications

• Proven leadership experience delivering infrastructure or major projects.
• Experience delivering CDM construction projects across major infrastructure.
• Strong EVM and capability to interpret schedules, data and drawings for decision making.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex construction and nuclear projects with robust governance and safety.
• Deliver to time, cost, quality and safety targets.
• Develop and motivate project leaders and cross-functional teams.
• Maintain high standards in safety, security, environmental, and quality performance.
• Influence across functions to deliver operational plans.
• Provide clear project performance reporting to senior leadership.
• Ensure alignment with WADs, requirements and PMB artefacts.
• Apply NEC3/4 project delivery experience.
• Manage budgets, people and equipment; balance workload and priorities.
• Lead risk, change and opportunity management to maximise value.
• Drive continuous improvement across delivery.
