Role Overview: Responsible for delivering MEP services on projects, ensuring outcomes related to time, budget, safety, and quality. Provides leadership and ensures compliance, governance, and team management. Builds strong relationships with stakeholders.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Managing the MEP team with professionalism, providing guidance and ensuring compliance with Mace standards.
• Overseeing delivery of MEP services, including programme management, safety, quality, and commissioning.
• Coordinating with project stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and contractors.
• Leading tendering processes and supporting bid teams.
• Developing procurement strategies and managing specialist packages.
• Reviewing contracts, assisting in budgeting, and supporting commercial teams.
• Creating project strategies aligned with Mace's frameworks and priorities.
• Overseeing design reviews for compliance and completeness, including sustainability aspects.
• Planning project phases, milestones, and logistics.
• Supporting commissioning strategies and using digital tools for productivity assessment.
• Managing project close-out and ensuring quality standards.
• Identifying risks and developing mitigation plans.
• Driving continuous improvement and sharing lessons learned.
• Leading and developing teams, ensuring high performance and technical growth.
• Contributing to net zero carbon goals through proactive emissions management.

You’ll need to have:

• Advanced knowledge of engineering systems, standards, and processes.
• Proficiency in construction sequencing, planning, and management.
• Strong commercial management skills.
• In-depth understanding of health, safety, and quality assurance.
• Proven track record in delivering projects over £25m in MEP value.
• Relevant sector experience and a successful project history.
• Proficiency in building services engineering.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and analytical skills.
• Innovative, adaptable, and collaborative mindset.
• Leadership qualities and ability to work under pressure.
• Relevant qualifications, such as an apprenticeship, degree, and safety certifications (SMSTS, CSCS).

You’ll also have:

• Diverse technical project experience.
• Professional accreditation (CIBSE, IET, IMechE, SoPHE).
• Understanding of strategic business goals.
• Relevant degree or equivalent.
